Regulatory oversight of nuclear facilities

STUK oversees the Loviisa and Olkiluoto nuclear facilities and Posiva's encapsulation and final disposal facilitys of spent nuclear fuel. In addition, STUK supervises the decommissioning of VTT’s research reactor located in Otaniemi, Espoo. STUK's regulatory oversight also covers new nuclear facility projects.
