STUK's measurement and calibration services subject to a charge
The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) provides companies and private citizens with various radiation-related measurement, calibrations and expert services.
Measurement of radioactivity in samples is offered for tritium, strontium, plutonium and americium, uranium, lead and polonium as well as radon and long-lived alpha-active substances. In addition, gamma spectrometry and whole-body counter measurements are provided.
These assays and analyses are performed in the FiNAS-accredited testing laboratory T167. Calibration services for radiation meters as well as various types of irradiation and testing of measuring devices are provided by the national metrology laboratory. All laboratory services meet the requirements of standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
In addition, STUK carries out calibrations, tests, measurements and safety assessments related to non-ionizing radiation as agreed.
