Press releases and news

STUK and ASNR, the nuclear and radiation safety authorities in Finland and France, met for bilateral discussions in Vantaa and Olkiluoto from February 11th to February 13th.

Particle samples collected by the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) from the air in Rovaniemi, Kuopio and Imatra in mid-January contained levels of radioactive substances exceeding the detection limit. The concentrations were very low and posed no risk to people or the environment.

The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) is coordinating the international safety assessment of a Finnish small modular reactor. The project examines how cooperation could facilitate the evaluation of new nuclear facilities.
