Advisory Committees

The operation and development of STUK is supported by four advisory committees consisting of external members:

STUK Advisory Committee

Established in spring 2008, this advisory committee is summoned by STUK’s Director General. The advisory committee promotes co-operation between STUK and the surrounding society. 

Advisory Committee on Radiation Safety

Appointed by the Government, the Advisory Committee on Radiation Safety creates proposals and initiatives on radiation safety and issues statements concerning radiation safety.

Advisory Committee on Nuclear Safety

Appointed by the Government, the Advisory Committee on Nuclear Safety is an advisory organ that participates in the preparation of matters related to the safety of nuclear energy.

Advisory Committee on Security

The Advisory Committee on Security is appointed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
