Preparedness for radiation hazards

Although the likelihood of a serious radiation hazard situation in Finland is small, preparations have been made, as an accident cannot be completely ruled out. The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) maintains preparedness for abnormal radiation situations and receives all radiation-related notifications at all times of the day.

In its monitoring project, the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) examined the UV intensity of six devices used to attach lash extensions. The devices are used in beauty care to cure lash extension glue using UV radiation and have grown in popularity over the last couple of years.
